KAZAKHSTAN GROWTH FORUM – DETAILS ANNOUNCED
The 5th Annual International Kazakhstan Growth Forum – the largest business forum on Kazakhstan in Europe - takes place in London (Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel) on June 15th-17th.

Top flight analysts and businessmen will discuss the challenges and opportunities in Kazakhstan, and senior Kazakh government officials will present their initiatives for the strengthening of the country’s economic environment.

Subjects covered will include Kazakhstan's role in international energy projects, a project update from the giant Kashagan oilfield (focusing on business development and practical issues, including creating value-added products and services, transportation and infrastructure).
Opportunities in the Kazakh petrochemical and chemical sectors, post-crisis management of the financial sector and an analysis of the future for Kazakh companies (funding through domestic instruments and attracting private equity and portfolio investors' capital) are also on the Forum’s agenda.
Forty-plus top level speakers are already confirmed to take part. These include Olivier Descamps (an MD at the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development), Zaure Zaurbekova (Chief Financial Officer, ENRC PLC), Clemente Cappello (CEO, Sturgeon Capital), Mark Rollins (President, BG Kazakhstan), Aidan Karibjanov (Managing Director, Sovereign Wealth Fund ‘Samruk-Kazyna’), Michael Young (President & CFO, Max Petroleum), Evgeny Usatov (Chairman of the Board, Halyk Finance), Hans Holzhacker (Chief Economist, ATF Bank / UniCredit Group), Denis Deripasko (Regional Manager for Central Asia & the CIS, Sumitomo-Mitsui Banking Corporation) and Darius Daubaras (Partner, Spencer House Capital Management - Tau Capital Fund).
Presentations from other leading economists and investors have yet to be confirmed. The Kazakh Government delegation will be announced shortly.
